Job description

The role of the Wellsite Supervisor / Night Drilling Supervisor is to direct and control at wellsite all operational functions of people, equipment, and services for the execution of the well program under their supervision, including safety, moving, logistics (material + personnel), and maintenance. They coordinate all phases of well operations, including management of subcontractor services at the rig site.

Works closely with the Client Representative at the wellsite to ensure compliance with operational requirements and well integrity maintenance during program execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Control operations, providing support and information as required or deemed necessary.
  • Plan and supervise the execution of the well program at the wellsite, including instructions, logistics planning, and reporting.
  • Ensure well programs and schedules are well known, and provide adequate written instructions daily.
  • Identify opportunities to improve resource utilization, procedures, and designs to enhance operations.
  • Prepare and plan rig maintenance with the rig manager, visit locations, and coordinate rig moves.
  • Ensure clear handover of responsibilities at the end of each shift and provide clear daily instructions to the operational team.
  • Maintain all information generated at the wellsite until handed over to the next shift or office.
  • Oversee well integrity and take initial actions in case of unplanned events.

Required:

  • Only nationals considered due to Saudization requirements.
  • Extensive experience in well operations, including on-site knowledge of oil & gas practices.
  • Wellcap Certification is essential.
  • Proficiency in field calculations.
  • Strong computer skills for procedure preparation and amendments.
  • Experience with workover and re-entry wells is essential.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas services projects.
  • Experience managing multi-rig campaigns.
  • Knowledge of Weatherford services and latest industry technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering or technical degree, or relevant experience demonstrating strong technical and commercial aptitude.
