Job description

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Welding Inspector Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) located in Mecca at Alwagehat Algharbiya Contracting Company. The role will involve conducting quality control, welding inspection, quality assurance, and inspections on welding.

Job Description:

  1. Performing visual inspection of piping installation including:
  • Verifying piping material identity (pipe, valves).
  • Verifying that welding inspection has been performed and joints have been released.
  • Verification that dimensions and alignment tolerances of the piping systems are as per construction specifications.
  • In-process surveillance to verify compliance with specified piping erection procedures including flange alignments.
  • Performing piping walk-down inspection and completing punch lists.
  • Reviewing and verifying completeness of piping test packages (hydro or pneumatic) prior to testing.
  • Witnessing final piping tests.
  • Completing and endorsing all inspection records from initial inspection till final acceptance of the piping.

Qualifications

  • Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Inspection skills.
  • CWI or CSWIP certificate.
  • Welding Inspection and Welding skills.
  • Relevant certifications in welding and quality control.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Familiar with conventional NDT Level II.
  • Computer literate and familiar with using basic Microsoft Office programs.

Note: Minimum 3 years of work experience.
