A leading company in Saudi Arabia seeks a Welding Engineer responsible for optimizing welding processes for static equipment. Candidates should possess a BE in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience, demonstrating expertise in ASME standards and training welders. This role involves liaising with customers and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
The Welding Engineer is responsible for ensuring efficient Welding of Static Equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Skids, Tanks, and Structures.
Key Accountabilities
1)Preparation of WPS/PQR as per ASME Codes and Customer Standards and obtaining their approval from Customers
2)Training & Qualification of Welders.
3)Liaise with Customers & ASME AI for Welding related issues.
4)Development & Implementation of best practices to optimize the welding processes and activities.
5)Estimation & MR issuance for Welding Consumables along with Technical Delivery Conditions.
6)Monitor & Control Productivity of Welders .
7)Prepare and handle various Audits and Customer Visits.
8)Provide Technical Support during the bidding stage.
9)Ensure that Welding Activities are performed in compliance with Customer requirements in most cost & time efficient manner.
10)Provide solution to any Welding related issues during Project Execution.
11)Carry out Welding Engineering related tasks as assigned by GM/OD.
12)Liase with Customer & Suppliers to resolve the Welding related Issues.
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge
BE Mechanical, Masters in Engineering (Preferable)
Minimum Experience (no. of years) 10 Years
