Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain water purification systems (e.g., reverse osmosis, UV, ozonation, carbon filtration).
  • Ensure water quality meets company and regulatory standards (e.g., SFDA, ISO, HACCP).
  • Monitor the water treatment plant performance by following the normalization sheet.
  • Perform regular water testing for TDS, pH, etc.
  • Monitor and document treatment processes and batch records.
  • Clean and sanitize tanks, filters, and piping to prevent contamination, following the planned procedures.
  • Calibrate testing and monitoring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot purification or bottling issues.
  • Work closely with quality assurance and bottling line staff.
  • Monitor the efficient operation of wells, storage rooms, and water treatment plants.
  • Respond to operational faults and problems in the water system.
  • Constantly monitor water quality parameters during operation.
  • Monitor established Control Points (CPs), Critical Control Points (CCPs), and Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs).
  • Perform chemical cleaning for the R.O. Units.
  • Ensure cleanliness of wells, storage rooms, and water treatment facilities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams or well contractors during maintenance activities, especially sanitizing equipment before re-installation.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of water purification systems: RO, UV sterilization, deionization, ozonation.
  • Lab testing skills: microbial testing, pH, TDS, turbidity, etc.
  • Equipment maintenance and sanitation procedures.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards like HACCP or ISO 22000.

Soft Skills:

  • Attention to cleanliness and detail (super important in bottled water).
  • Teamwork and communication with QA and production staff.
  • Recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Internal: Safety, Water Treatment and Resources, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Utilities

External: Auditors, Well Contractors

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications: BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture Engineering (Water and Environment Branch)

Preferred Work Experience: At least 4 years in advanced water treatment operation
