A leading company in healthcare is searching for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee supply chain strategies, manage critical inventory, and enhance supplier relationships. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience, with significant expertise in all aspects of supply chain management, particularly in the healthcare sector. This role involves strategic decision-making, managing teams, and aligning supply chain goals with the business objectives.
Sets the vision for Supply Chain and serves as a key stakeholder in company-wide decision making with the objective of enabling growth, improving margins, and reducing operational costs. Oversees the development of CAPEX and OPEX plans for current and upcoming projects. Manages category-wise Annual Demand Forecasts and monitors them monthly through consumables plans and reports. Ensures data collection and trend analysis related to supply chain activities for internal distribution. Oversees timely replenishment of critical inventory items at the warehouse. Develops and implements the annual procurement plan, considering procurement strategies, departmental needs, demand-supply levels, and budget. Manages tendering plans and sourcing strategies to enhance supplier competitiveness and mitigate risks via diversification. Conducts market research and analysis of suppliers, maintaining the supplier database with appropriate access rights. Appoints staff to manage supplier relations and provides strategic advice on supplier issues like contracts, variations, and grievances. Recommends and oversees the selection and implementation of inventory systems aligned with business needs. Develops and maintains supply chain policies and processes in accordance with best practices, laws, and organizational requirements, ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed. Participates in organization-wide meetings and serves on the Executive Committee to align supply chain goals with organizational objectives. Assists in recruiting supply chain staff, including interviewing, onboarding, and training. Ensures distribution warehouses are appropriately sized, designed, and staffed for future requirements, focusing on volume, handling, storage, and shipping. Promotes integration between planning and logistics to optimize performance and on-time delivery.
Requirements
Membership or certification in supply chain from professional institutes like CIPS, APICS, IPSCMI, ISCEA, or equivalent is advantageous. A valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region are required.
