In this Warehouse Specialist position

• You will support administration of warehouse and manual handling plans and processes for warehouse/distribution facilities.
• You will receive, sort and process incoming/outgoing materials/cargo, parts, products, supplies and equipment according to defined schedules, established procedures and regulations.
• You will verify and endorse the accurate receipt and issue of cargo against relevant documents.
• You will load and unload materials onto or off pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand and ensure cargo is stored in their allocated positions.
• You will load materials and cargo into vehicles/trucks/containers and use hand tools to install strapping, bracing and padding.
• You will undertake cargo movement, complying with regulations and internal procedures and update shipment status accordingly.
• You will assist in stock counts and reconciliation of any stock discrepancy, monitoring of cycle and turnaround time of order processing.
• You will update inventory records including inventory records of customer stock, maintain inventory at defined maximum/minimum levels and perform stock audits to ensure integrity and security of stock.
• You will update information in computerized systems such as logs, packing lists, pick tickets, invoices, inventories, transfer/delivery tickets, orders/receipts, etc. and generate delivery/shipping documents.
• You will ensure supply of raw materials and components to production areas, record the entry of finished products to the corresponding warehouse and prepare required reports.
• You will guide and perform the physical handling of cargo, accurate implementation of all receiving and order processing operations, picking and bulking operations and ensure that cargo is packed according to request.
• You will identify and resolve recurring issues and suggest modifications related to warehouse and manual handling work methods focusing on promoting efficiency, faster service and lower costs.
• You may provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions.
• You will manage and execute warehouse/distribution center activities related to movement, tools, and packaging (e.g. pickers and packers).
• You will pack items for shipment according to specifications.
• You will receive or inspect goods, scan and verify items against the shipment record.
• You will manage transshipment and sorting activities (e.g. within sorting centers).
• You will operate gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts and goods.
• You will consolidate shipments.
• You will perform Unit load devices.
