Position Summary
  • Supervise, organize, and coordinate all activities related to Warehousing to ensure the timely receiving, storage, and disbursement of materials to end users.
  • Report all activities in accordance with Materials Management Procedures and relevant statutory and legal requirements.
  • Serve as a customer liaison with key Maintenance, Planning, and Production personnel.
  • Ensure the daily operation of the Warehouse is safe, efficient, and cost-effective, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials to support maintenance and production activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement of supply-related processes within the Warehousing group using the JIGPC Business System.
  • Coordinate Warehouse operations, ensuring proper packaging, handling, and recording of materials per operating procedures.
  • Optimize stock holdings by planning activities that control inventory securely and effectively, applying sound inventory management and security principles.
  • Record all inventory movements accurately through electronic and mechanical means per procedures.
  • Develop plans to match physical inventory with electronic records through ad-hoc and cyclical counts.
  • Provide detailed advice on stock levels and movements to stakeholders during planning.
  • Enhance customer knowledge of the supply system through training and support.
  • Promote safety and environmental targets by ensuring safe work practices and housekeeping standards are maintained by leadership and staff.
  • Handle, store, and transport hazardous materials in compliance with procedures, standards, and legislation.
  • Continuously improve Warehouse procedures and functions using knowledge and best practices.
  • Encourage team development and manage leave according to guidelines.
  • Manage, plan, and forecast the Warehouse operation budget.
  • Assist Stores, Maintenance, and Production personnel to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure safety of plant and equipment, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Follow standard operating and administrative procedures for duties.
Skills
  • Proficient in computerized stock control systems (SAP).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Hazardous Materials Handling training.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Management, or a relevant field.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Mobile equipment operation license or ability to obtain one shortly after hire.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in chemical, refinery, gas plant maintenance, inspection, or engineering.
  • 5+ years of material handling experience.
  • 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
