Job summary

Job Description

To provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following Rixos Standards of Performance.

  1. Be flexible and adapt to rotate within different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other hotel department as assigned.
  2. Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  3. Undertake secondary tasks as assigned by the Assistant Manager and supervisor.
  4. Perform opening and closing procedures as established for the workplace.
  5. Have thorough knowledge of all menu items and be able to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
  6. Provide high-quality, efficient, and friendly service according to Standard Operational Procedures.
  7. Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
  8. Handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently.
  9. Establish rapport with guests and maintain good customer relationships.
  10. Monitor operating supplies, reduce spoilage and wastage.
  11. Report guest complaints or problems to supervisors and follow up with guests.
  12. Assist in inventory counts of operating equipment periodically.
  13. Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
  14. Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
  15. Maintain good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  16. Read and understand the hotel’s Employee Handbook and adhere to policies, including Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety regulations.
  17. Comply with local legislation as required.
  18. Respond to departmental changes as needed by the hotel.
  19. Be flexible and undertake additional duties or redeployments to meet business needs and guest service standards.
  20. Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Qualifications
