Job Description
To provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following Rixos Standards of Performance.
- Be flexible and adapt to rotate within different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other hotel department as assigned.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Undertake secondary tasks as assigned by the Assistant Manager and supervisor.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as established for the workplace.
- Have thorough knowledge of all menu items and be able to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
- Provide high-quality, efficient, and friendly service according to Standard Operational Procedures.
- Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
- Handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Establish rapport with guests and maintain good customer relationships.
- Monitor operating supplies, reduce spoilage and wastage.
- Report guest complaints or problems to supervisors and follow up with guests.
- Assist in inventory counts of operating equipment periodically.
- Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
- Maintain good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- Read and understand the hotel’s Employee Handbook and adhere to policies, including Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety regulations.
- Comply with local legislation as required.
- Respond to departmental changes as needed by the hotel.
- Be flexible and undertake additional duties or redeployments to meet business needs and guest service standards.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality; candidates can be freshers or have up to 1 year of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
