Responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. Playing an important role in guest satisfaction as they are also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATION:
- Has a good knowledge of menu and presentation standards.
- Always strive towards best customer satisfaction
- Greet customers and present menus
- Make suggestions based on their recommendations
- Take and serve food/drinks orders following the sequence of service
- Up-sell when appropriate
- Arrange table settings
- Always keep tables clean and tidy
- Check products for quality
- Deliver checks and collect payments
- Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
- To observe the Company’s rules and procedures and carry out any reasonable request made by their Manager, Supervisor, or the Duty Manager.
ADMINISTRATION:
- To permanently follow SOPs, manuals, and recipes
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
- Ensure all equipment in FOH is properly maintained and in working order in accordance with local Health department.
- Ensure proper grooming and hygiene standards
- Be aware of responsibilities regarding Health and Safety at Work, following all procedures and reporting hazards or accidents to management.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required and contribute actively.
COMMUNICATION:
- Ensure efficient communication in FOH/BOH
- Attend daily team briefings
- Communicate transparently, efficiently, and proactively through communication tools
- Display exceptional behaviour to create a positive work environment, demonstrating dedication and professionalism
- Assist individuals to understand needs, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching to improve operations.
FINANCE:
- Ensure operational standards are consistently followed
GUEST RELATION:
- Maintain and strengthen recognition among regular guests
- Create and build recognition for new guests
HR & TRAINING:
- Communicate sensitive and serious issues appropriately
- Mentor new joiners
- Train & coach Commis/runners
- Attend internal and external seminars, training, and product demonstrations
