Job Description: Waiter

As a waiter, you will be responsible for delivering excellent guest service, maintaining service standards, and supporting smooth dining operations. You should possess skills in menu knowledge, order taking, guest relations, and ensuring hygiene and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Greet and welcome guests politely and warmly.
  2. Present menus and provide detailed information about dishes and specials upon request.
  3. Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
  4. Serve orders promptly, ensuring quality standards are met.
  5. Check with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally.
  6. Clear and reset tables for new guests.
  7. Prepare dining areas before service, including arranging tables, linens, cutlery, and glassware.
  8. Issue bills and process payments via cash, card, or room charge.
  9. Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  10. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Knowledge:
  • Understanding of hotel and restaurant management.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and billing procedures.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
