Job Description

Purpose of Duty:

Responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. Plays a key role in guest satisfaction by checking on customers to ensure they enjoy their meals and taking action to resolve any issues.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Operation:
  • Knowledge of menu and presentation standards
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Strive for high customer satisfaction
  • Greet customers and present menus
  • Make suggestions based on customer preferences
  • Take and serve food/drinks orders following service sequence
  • Upsell when appropriate
  • Arrange table settings
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables
  • Check product quality
  • Deliver checks and process payments
  • Coordinate with serving and kitchen staff
  • Follow health regulations and service guidelines
  • Adhere to company rules and respond to managerial requests
Administration:
  • Follow SOPs, manuals, and recipes
  • Ensure food handling and sanitation standards
  • Maintain proper food temperatures
  • Ensure equipment in FOH is maintained and operational
  • Maintain grooming and hygiene standards
  • Be aware of health and safety responsibilities and report hazards
  • Attend training and team meetings
Communication:
  • Ensure effective communication in FOH/BOH
  • Attend daily briefings
  • Communicate proactively using communication tools
  • Display professional behavior and contribute to positive work environment
  • Assist in operational improvements through effective communication and coaching
Finance:
  • Maintain operational standards
Guests Relations:
  • Recognize and build rapport with regular guests
  • Establish recognition with new guests
HR & Training:
  • Communicate sensitive issues appropriately
  • Mentor new joiners
  • Train and coach team members
  • Participate in seminars, training, and product demos
