Job description

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a VTC Technician III. This position will be located in PSAB, KSA with another location in ADAB, UAE and will be onsite.

Responsibilities

Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of electrical products. Checks, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring as necessary. Cuts wire to length, strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates connections with plastic sleeves. Attaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels, and switchboards with fasteners such as bolts, screws, or solder. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications
  • Clearance required: Secret
  • High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Meet certification requirement of DoD 8570.01-M
  • Security+
  • Microsoft-Certified Technology specialist-SharePoint and SharePoint Server; AND - Microsoft-Certified Information Technology-SharePoint Administrator
  • Lead-level, supervisory and practical experience in: shop practices; installation, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of VTC bridge systems or equipment; solving complex problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits and ability to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment
  • Expert experience in maintaining/troubleshooting: TMS software; Cisco devices (Codecs and MCUs (53XX Series)); Cisco network enterprise devices (VCS-Control, VCS-Expressway, Expressway Core and Edge); Cisco CR Codecs (C/SX/MX/Spark-Series); Cisco desktops (EX/DX series); Control systems EXTRON/AMX/CRESTRON components; CRESTRON and AMX touch panel [interfaces] and associated software; Audio subsystems (amplifiers, mixers, microphone and speaker systems); Media devices (e.g., DVD players, VCRs, etc.); Multimedia display (e.g., projectors, LCD, plasma, LED displays)
