Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Virtualization Engineer with hands-on experience in Virtual Computing Platforms, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AirWatch, and server operation. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize our virtualized environments, ensuring the smooth functioning and performance of virtualization technologies that support business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Virtualization (VCP_DCV):

• Administer and optimize virtualized environments using VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
• Implement and support virtual machines (VMs), storage, and network components within virtualized infrastructure.
• Perform regular capacity planning, resource allocation, and scaling of virtual environments.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI):

• Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services such as compute instances, databases, and storage.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Oracle Cloud resources in accordance with best practices.
• Perform system monitoring and ensure the performance, availability, and security of virtualized Oracle environments.

Server Operation:

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure (physical and virtual) in production and non-production environments.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, server hardware, and related applications.
• Monitor and optimize server performance and conduct regular server health checks.

System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

• Use monitoring tools to identify system performance and availability issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems within the virtualized environment, ensuring minimal downtime.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Create and maintain documentation for virtualized environments and server infrastructure.
• Ensure all systems and configurations comply with company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in virtualization, cloud technologies, or IT infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with mobile device management (AirWatch or similar solutions).
• Proficient with server operations and maintenance, including system optimization and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Certifications:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or equivalent is required.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications (OCI).
• AirWatch or MDM certifications are a plus.
• Additional relevant certifications such as VMware, Oracle, or server management certifications are a plus.
