Role Overview

The Veterinary Technician's primary responsibility is to draw blood from animals, particularly camels, and deliver the samples to the laboratory for analysis. This part-time, project-based role involves working on a case-by-case basis and traveling to different locations within Riyadh.

Job Responsibilities

Blood Collection:

1. Draw blood from animals, with a focus on camels, for diagnostic and research purposes
2. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of blood samples to maintain sample integrity
3. Transport blood samples to the designated laboratory promptly and safely

Animal Handling:

1. Safely and humanely handle and restrain animals during blood collection procedures
2. Provide care and reassurance to animals to minimize stress during procedures

Record Keeping:

1. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all blood collection procedures and samples
2. Document any observations or issues encountered during the blood collection process

Compliance and Safety:

1. Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines
2. Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and professional standards in veterinary care
3. Follow proper biosecurity measures to prevent contamination and spread of diseases

Requirements

Experience, Qualifications, and Core Skills:
