Job description

Description
  • Performs clinical duties as per assigned clinical privileges.
  • Thoroughly assesses patients (clinical, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional assessments) according to DSFH policies and documents assessments in medical records.
  • Develops evidence-based care plans following standards of care and documents them in patients' medical records as per DSFH policies.
  • Ensures timely implementation of the care plan established by the physician.
  • Becomes the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for inpatients admitted under his/her name.
  • Develops discharge plans on the day of admission and involves discharge planning services early if needed.
  • Assesses inpatients at least once daily, documenting assessments and care plans in progress notes using SOAP format per DSFH policies.
  • Responds promptly to medical consultations following DSFH policies.
  • Documents medical interventions performed on patients timely and according to DSFH policies.
  • Educates patients and families, involving them in the care plan, and documents the education provided.
  • Attends hospital duties and responds to calls as per departmental schedule.
  • Participates in departmental and staff meetings, contributing ideas to improve efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Responsible for writing medical reports for patients following DSFH policies.
  • Contributes to teaching rounds and activities as requested by the department chairperson.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Adheres to organizational policies on ethical practices and represents DSFH professionally in the community.
  • Performs other duties within the scope of responsibility as assigned.
  • Demonstrates compassionate communication skills, providing patient-centered support and care.
Qualifications
  • Completed structured training in the specialty or subspecialty at a recognized medical center, obtaining the highest clinical degree in that field.
  • Gained relevant experience according to the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties within the field of specialty.
  • Holds a valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties license and Ministry of Health license.
