Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development & Execution:

  • Design and implement a robust market access and pricing strategy that maximizes patient access and highlights Sanofi's value proposition, while tailoring plans to country-specific requirements and regulatory frameworks.

  • Monitor and analyze market evolutions, covering pricing, reimbursement, and health economics, to anticipate changes and prepare proactive strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Represent the Greater Gulf Market Access team in strategic cross-functional meetings, ensuring the payers' perspective is integrated into product positioning and access strategies.

  • Work closely with Global Market Access teams to merge global insights with localized intelligence, enhancing the overall market strategy.

Evidence Generation & Health Economics:

  • Identify key evidence gaps and determine the data generation requirements needed to support health economics and reimbursement submissions.

  • Oversee the adaptation and presentation of scientific evidence that substantiates the drug's value proposition to external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Shaping:

  • Map and engage with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem to understand challenges and develop tailored plans to overcome access barriers.

  • Drive initiatives that support broader policy shaping, ensuring our strategies are aligned with both market needs and Sanofi's commitment to ethical practices.

Contracting & Negotiations:

  • Explore and assess opportunities for innovative contracting solutions that align with our strategic goals, supporting successful access negotiations and optimal pricing outcomes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare business cases for new launches, ensuring that every proposal is rooted in solid research and strategic foresight.

Compliance & Publication Strategy:

  • Ensure that all market access activities comply with or exceed regulatory requirements and adhere to Sanofi's robust compliance standards.

  • Support the publication strategy in collaboration with HEVA, contributing to the dissemination of scientifically rigorous and strategically essential data.

Technical & Professional Requirements

Influential Leadership:

  • Proven ability to interact with and influence senior leadership across Commercial, Regulatory, Medical, Marketing, and other functions to develop winning business cases.

  • Strong experience in leading access negotiations, with a track record of managing complex stakeholder environments.

In-Depth Market & Payer Expertise:

  • Extensive knowledge of the payer environment, reimbursement dynamics, and a range of pricing options applicable to diverse customer segments (including government, out-of-pocket, and private payers).

  • Skilled in identifying payer value drivers and anticipating objections, with a demonstrated ability to propose innovative, multifaceted solutions.

Scientific & Analytical Acumen:

  • Advanced expertise in Health Economics, with a background in Pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes research, is considered a decisive advantage.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to leverage research and scenario analyses to maximize product differentiation and market success.

Project & Stakeholder Management:

  • Demonstrated project management expertise that complements his/her strategic vision and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset that fosters cross-functional partnerships and sustainable stakeholder relationships.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • A university degree in pharmaceutical sciences is required (preferably a master s degree in health economics, or a related field).

  • A minimum of 10 years' successful experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 6 years dedicated to market access, preferably with 3 years specifically in immunology, rare diseases, or vaccines.

  • Experience in GCC countries is a must.

  • A deep understanding of the legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to pricing, reimbursement, and market access in the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential.

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent project management training is highly regarded.
