Job Description
The role is responsible for crafting clear, concise, and user-friendly copy within digital products to enhance user experiences. This role involves working closely with designers, product managers, and developers to create microcopy, content flows, and messaging that guide users through interfaces smoothly. The goal is to ensure users understand how to interact with the product and feel confident doing so.
Responsibilities
- Enable high-quality user experience by crafting copy that meaningfully connects with consumers and guides them through their journey.
- Collaborate with UX researchers, designers, developers, and the wider business at each stage of design, from drafts to prototypes to final copy.
- Define content strategy for the product and write clear, concise content across multiple touchpoints, including product names, labels, navigation, tutorials, user flows, and notifications.
- Deliver microcopy for functional interactions, focusing on orientation, hierarchy, and clarity within information architecture, wireframes, and interfaces.
- Create and maintain copy usage guidelines, documenting iterations.
- Assist UX researchers in writing clear questions for remote surveys.
- Participate in user research and analyze data from validations like US research or A/B testing.
- Conduct user research to validate microcopy performance.
- Use insights to refine copy to resonate with user needs and enhance user delight.
- Help customers feel welcomed and empowered, aligning with D360's tone of voice.
- Advocate for end users while ensuring business requirements are met.
- Research and define best practices for UI copy continually.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager related to the work.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant controls and information security policies.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications- A tertiary qualification in Communication or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Experience- Recommended 3 to 5 years of experience in UX copywriting for digital products such as websites, mobile apps, or software interfaces.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing UX writing skills that achieve specific outcomes.
- Passion for quality, user-centered writing with great attention to detail.
- Knowledge of user-centered UX principles and practices.
