Utility Supervisor (Ductile Iron)

We are hiring for Utility Supervisor for a leading Ductile Iron Pipe Manufacturing Co. in Saudi Arabia.

Preferred candidate profile:

As a Utility Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and efficiency of utility systems that support the ductile iron pipe manufacturing process. This includes boilers, chillers, compressed air systems, cooling towers, pumps, diesel engines, and water treatment plants. You will ensure the continuous availability of utilities, optimize energy consumption, and lead a team of technicians for preventive and corrective maintenance.

Job Position: Utility Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utility System Management:
   • Oversee and manage the operation of boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, diesel generators, and pumps to ensure uninterrupted support for production.
   • Monitor steam, air, water, and power supply to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
   • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to utility operations.
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
   • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all utility equipment.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues related to utility systems.
   • Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and breakdown analysis.
3. Energy & Cost Optimization:
   • Monitor energy consumption and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
   • Recommend upgrades or modifications to utility equipment for better performance.
   • Work on initiatives to minimize energy wastage and enhance sustainability.
4. Team Leadership & Training:
   • Supervise and guide utility technicians in their daily tasks.
   • Conduct training programs to improve team skills and awareness of safety procedures.
   • Assign tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair jobs.
5. Safety & Compliance:
   • Enforce safety protocols for utility system operation and maintenance.
   • Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
   • Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
6. Coordination & Reporting:
   • Coordinate with the production, maintenance, and engineering departments to ensure seamless operation.
   • Provide regular reports on utility performance, maintenance activities, and energy consumption trends.
   • Suggest improvements and new technologies for better reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Qualification: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
2. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in utility operations in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
3. Expertise in boilers, chillers, diesel engines, pumps, air compressors, and cooling towers.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge of safety standards, energy management, and preventive maintenance.
6. Ability to lead and manage a team efficiently.
7. Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.

Salary: Negotiable (Based on your experience & knowledge)

Working Hours: 09 Hours / 6 days a week.

Contract Period: 2 Years.
