As a Utilities & Facilities Technician, you will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of a facility's physical structures and systems, including plumbing, water, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Your responsibilities include routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing system malfunctions, and ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned maintenance and complete scheduled work-orders weekly.
  • Handle civil and fabric work for GSAL factory buildings.
  • Repair and replace utility piping and sanitary systems, including potable water, chilled water, steam, condensate, and compressed air systems.
  • Maintain HVAC ducting, piping insulation, and related systems.
  • Operate and maintain fire fighting systems and chillers.
  • Report near misses and maintain safety in utility areas.
  • Ensure systems are maintained in an EHS and GMP compliant manner.
  • Complete documentation on schedule and request spare parts via CMMS.
  • Monitor system functions daily and record data.
Accountability:
  • Maintain fire fighting systems, doors, fire shutters, and building installations.
  • Use CMMS for maintenance records and breakdown history.
  • Perform non-routine and breakdown maintenance as needed.
  • Ensure tools and test equipment are calibrated and safe.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the plant areas.
  • Participate in training and comply with all safety, quality, and governance policies.
  • Report incidents and risks, and participate in operational excellence initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in electrical inspections and maintenance, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of mechanical applications, including steam boilers, HVAC, pumps, and compressors.
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written.
