As a Utilities & Facilities Technician, you will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of a facility's physical structure and its various systems, including plumbing, water systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosing system malfunctions, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulation/ standards.

Key Responsibilities:
The occupant of this Job title shall have the responsibility of Operating, Maintaining & repairing of the following:
- Completion of planned maintenance on scheduled weekly.
- Completed of scheduled work-orders on scheduled weekly.
- All GSAL factory buildings civil & fabrics work.
- Repairing/Replacement of all utility piping & sanitary to ensure they are maintained in proper condition. This includes (but not limited to) all piping of Potable Water system, chilled water system, Steam & Condensate, Compressed air system.
- Repairing & Replacement of all piping and duct work Insulation related to HVAC Ducting, Potable Water system, Chilled water system, Steam & Condensate, Compressed air system.
- Operation and Maintenance of Fire Fighting system & Chillers.
- Ensure near misses are reported and escalated as appropriate.
- Ensure all Utilities areas and systems are maintained in a safe manner.
- Ensure all Utilities systems are maintained in an EHS compliant manner.
- Ensure acceptable level of housekeeping is maintained at all times.
- Ensure all quality issues are reported and escalated appropriately.
- Ensure all Utilities and systems are maintained in a GMP compliant manner.
- Ensure all documentation is completed on schedule in a GMP compliant manner.
- Spare parts must be requested in CMMS before physical issuance from the engineering store.
- Inform supervisor of material required and or shortage of materials in order to carry out the task.
- Monitoring of systems functions on daily basis and the data recording.
Accountability
- Responsible for the Operation & Maintenance of the fire fighting system in accordance with manufacturer recommendation and design specification.
- Carry out monthly maintenance of all factory doors.
- Carry out for the maintenance of fire shutter of the production building, warehouse and Cephs building.
- Carry out for the monthly routine maintenance of buildings, installation repair of gypsum board partition and ceiling tiles.
- Responsible for the HVAC ducting & piping insulation of potable water system chilled water system, steam & Condensate, compressed air system & Support services to HVAC system etc.
- Ensure the use of CMMS systems to record all routine and incidental maintenance, review breakdown history and update the PPM routines as preventative measure.
- Carry out the non-routine & break down maintenance as per other department requests.
- Ensure that all tools and test equipment are kept in a safe and calibrated state prior to use.
- Routine GEMBA to keep the plant and areas in a clean and orderly state at all times.
- Work closely with other team members as and when required.
- Comply with all site and relevant standard operating procedures.
- Attend and positively respond to training courses to improve work skills.
- Strictly adhere to Glaxo Environmental, Health and Safety instructions as per site EHS Policy and procedures to prevent accidents and deliver EHS targets.
- Ensure the reporting of abnormal Incidents, Conditions or Near Misses that may result in damage to other GSK staff, property or company reputation.
- Comply with all related Group Quality Policies requirement.
- Ensure full familiarity and Implementation of all applicable GSK Corporate Governance Policies.
- Accountable for individually identified risks and escalate to the line manager.
- Strictly adhere to Glaxo Environmental, Health and Safety instructions as per site EHS Policy and Procedures to prevent accidents and deliver EHS Targets.
- Ensure the reporting of abnormal Incidents, Conditions or Near Misses that may result in damage to other GSK staff, property or company reputation.
- Comply with all related Group Quality Policies requirements.
- Actively participate in the Operational Excellence initiatives & projects (i.e. OE, JDI, Lean Sigma etc.) to ensure optimum systems running cost.
- Ensure full familiarity and Implementation of all applicable GSK Corporate Governance Policies.
- Accountable for individually identified risks and escalate to the line manager, where applicable develop risk mitigation plan and monitor the implementation plan.
- Ensure full familiarity and Implementation of all applicable Engineering Global Standards (GES) & ensure compliance.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- To have the required knowledge of mechanical engineering applications (including but not limited to) working principle of steam boiler, HVAC systems, fluid mechanics (pumps and compressor), maintenance management.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years practical experience in electrical inspections and maintenance in an Industrial environment (preferred pharmaceutical industry).
- Good command of spoken and written English Language.
