Unix/Linux Engineer

We are looking for a Unix/Linux Engineer (Medina Airport)

Description of work:

Planning, designing, installing Unix/Linux systems, storage units, server hardware, and backup systems at the terminals he is responsible for, ensuring 24/7 operation support is provided safely and without issues.

Main Responsibilities & Requirements:

1. Design, install, administer, configure, upgrade, migrate, and maintain Linux Servers and automation tools (Debian and Redhat derivatives, Ansible, Satellite, etc.).
2. Experience with Server, Storage & SAN hardware setup, management, and maintenance. Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes, etc.).
3. Monitor and tune system performance.
4. Install and manage backup systems (Veeam Backup).
5. Maintain high availability and redundancy of critical Unix/Linux systems, SAN, Backup, and VMware systems.
6. Address security gaps within the scope of internal and external audits.
7. Conduct feasibility studies for new projects involving Unix/Linux systems, backup systems, storage units, and virtual systems.
8. Stay updated with technological developments and apply relevant updates to the institution.
9. Perform tasks assigned by the manager within the scope of the job description.
10. Provide quick solutions to related requests.
11. Plan hardware and software upgrades long-term and prepare annual capacity plans.
12. Manage management activities and backup operations.
13. Prepare and enforce information security management system documentation.
14. Follow licensing and support agreements.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.

Relevant work experience: 5 years

Foreign Language: English

Level: Good: Able to explain and understand instructions, discuss issues, read, and write reports effectively.
