UH60 Mechanic

Overview

Conduct aircraft maintenance on the UH-60 as needed, following specific guidelines from the OEM Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and relevant directives. Remove and install various aircraft systems and components, service and lubricate systems, prepare for inspections, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and conduct routine and special inspections on aircraft and related components. Utilize measuring tools, diagnostic equipment, and special tools for troubleshooting subsystems, conduct maintenance operational checks, and perform operator maintenance on tools and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE). Prepare detailed maintenance forms and records, provide MNG training as required, and ensure all maintenance operations are executed safely.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure that UH-60 aircraft maintenance activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness objectives.
2. Maintain compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures, and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform readiness rates.
3. Establish daily maintenance operational goals, objectives, and priorities to achieve readiness rates and MNG training objectives.
4. Oversee daily maintenance management of assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Manager.
5. Work within maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
6. Direct inquiries, investigations, and research related to aviation maintenance of UH-60 aircraft to the PC Manager.
7. Coordinate maintenance operations support activities with the Aviation Manager.
8. Coordinate daily and weekly maintenance training activities through management.
9. Ensure all maintenance operations and support activities are conducted safely.
10. Support the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures in coordination with the PC Manager.
11. Perform other tasks as directed by the PC Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in a related field is beneficial.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance on UH-60 aircraft.
• FAA A&P certificate.
• FAA IA certificate.
• Experience Requirements
• At least three (3) years of experience as an aircraft mechanic on UH-60 series aircraft and a total of five (5) years in aviation maintenance.
