Typhoon I.T Project Coordinator

Responsibilities:
The Typhoon I.T Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

1. Supervises and engage with the PC IM&T team to ensure that the standards are met and enforced in all the IT projects.
2. Represent the department in internal and external meetings.
3. Evaluates the technological, financial, organisational and environmental factors which must be addressed in all DCIT programmes.
4. Assesses the implications of new processes on both people and organisation and identifies the activities necessary to ensure a smooth transition to new processes.
5. Rapidly wins respect from both end users and professional colleagues and develops a reputation for sound judgement and effectiveness in the unique RSAF culture.
6. Ensures detail understanding of RSAF DCIT policies, standards and procedures for compliance with organisational policies and procedures, and relevant legislation.
7. Reviews supplier presented technical proposals and provides specialist advice on information technology, including advice on promotion of collaborative working and assessment of information security and export controlled related risk.
8. Works with senior management within DCIT to review the effectiveness of the current strategies in supporting business objectives.
9. Supports the creation of strategies, specifying requirements, conducting feasibility studies to identify the business benefits of alternative strategies.
10. Identifies and responds to the key business drivers and those areas of business need which are not adequately supported by current and planned IT, within the strategic planning time frame.
11. Provides senior management support to the programme and function as required, for current and future projects.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will need:

1. A minimum of a Bachelors in Computer Science (or similar) accompanied with training in various areas of cyber security.
2. A minimum of 5 years working experience gathered from IT Security related Projects, Operations, Engineering and Governance within an Air Force Defence Sector.
3. A minimum of 4 years experience within an enterprise information technology environment.
4. Experience requirements include but is not limited to Infrastructure Operations, information management, networking, cryptography, regulatory compliance, team management, resourcing optimization.
5. To be Fluent in both Arabic and English coupled with good writing and reporting skills to technical and management teams.
6. Good communication skills to interact with team members, support personnel, and provide technical guidance and expertise to users and management.
7. Good interpersonal skills to interact with team members.
8. The Ability to work in a self-directed work environment.
