A leading company in the power generation sector is seeking a Turbine Operator Assistant to support the operation and maintenance of turbine generators. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and qualifications, and be responsible for monitoring turbine operations, recording data, and assisting in maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Position Summary :
We are seeking a technically skilled and safety-conscious Turbine Operator Assistant to support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of turbine generators with a minimum capacity of 16 megawatts . The ideal candidate will have prior experience assisting in turbine system operations, monitoring parameters, and performing basic troubleshooting under the supervision of a certified Turbine Operator.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in starting, stopping, and monitoring steam or gas turbines during regular operations.
Record operational data such as pressure, temperature, flow rate, and vibration readings.
Support routine inspections, lubrication, and maintenance of turbine auxiliary systems.
Monitor control panel displays and indicators to ensure optimal operating conditions.
Report abnormal readings or potential equipment issues to the Turbine Operator or supervisor.
Assist in coordinating with electrical and mechanical teams during maintenance and shutdowns.
Follow lockout / tagout procedures and safety protocols during maintenance activities.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of turbine areas and auxiliary rooms.
Ensure proper documentation of logs, reports, and shift handovers.
Essential Qualifications :
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Plant Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in turbine operation support, preferably in power plants or industrial setups.
Experience with turbines having a capacity of not less than 16 MW is mandatory.
Basic knowledge of turbine systems, generators, and auxiliary components.
Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control System) or SCADA monitoring systems.
Strong observation and reporting skills for early fault detection.
Good understanding of industrial safety and emergency procedures.
Ability to work in rotating shifts and under high-temperature environments.
Team-oriented with strong communication and coordination abilities.
