Job description

Job Purpose:

Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a fleet of assets, ensuring reliable operation and safety of electrical components across various vehicle types. Diagnose and address electrical faults, perform routine inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Contribute to the overall efficiency and performance of the fleet’s electrical systems.

Key Accountability:

  • Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on the electrical systems of fleet vehicles. This includes checking batteries, wiring, lighting, switches, control panels, and other electrical components to identify any issues or potential problems.
  • Diagnose electrical faults, malfunctions, or breakdowns in fleet vehicles.
  • Determine the root cause of the problem and perform necessary repairs or replacements to ensure proper functioning of the electrical systems.
  • Ensure that all electrical work carried out on fleet vehicles complies with relevant safety standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. Adhere to electrical codes and practices to minimize the risk of accidents, electrical hazards, or equipment failures.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and standards while performing maintenance and repairs. Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, disposal of waste, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Stay updated with the latest electrical technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement upgrades or retrofitting of electrical systems in fleet vehicles. This may involve integrating advanced features, improving energy efficiency, or enhancing overall performance.

Education & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training of industrial automotive maintenance
  • Auto electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Knowledge of diagnostics tools for vehicle electrical and electronics
  • 5 years of experience in similar operations.
  • Worked with small vehicles to heavy vehicles and busses.
  • Significant technical experience in the relevant field.
  • Refrigeration experience.
  • Ability to speak in Arabic and English.
  • Driver license.
