Transportation Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Transportation Planning and Analysis:
   

• Conduct comprehensive studies to assess transportation needs and propose solutions for road networks, traffic flow optimization, and public transport integration.
  
• Analyze traffic data, including volume, speed, and congestion patterns, to recommend improvements and enhance transportation efficiency.
  

• Develop detailed designs for transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, intersections, and bridges, adhering to local regulations and standards.
  
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects.
  

• Implement traffic management plans to minimize disruptions during construction and events, ensuring safety and efficient traffic flow.
  
• Collaborate with urban planners and government agencies to integrate traffic management strategies with city development plans.
  

• Manage transportation projects from inception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  

• Assess environmental impacts of transportation projects and propose mitigation measures.
  
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards in all transportation engineering activities.
  

• Liaise with government agencies, contractors, and community stakeholders to gather input, address concerns, and facilitate project approvals.
  
• Communicate project updates and outcomes to stakeholders effectively.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  
• Proven experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on urban infrastructure projects.
  
• Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro) and AutoCAD.
  
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex traffic data.
  
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
  
• Knowledge of local regulations and standards related to transportation and infrastructure.
