Job description

Job Purpose / Objective


The Transport Coordinator is responsible for the smooth operation of the Transport Office, including compiling and maintaining documentation, managing information, ensuring timely driver departures, processing vital information, issuing journey details, and booking staff on and off shifts. The role also involves performing or assisting with daily safety and service inspections, routine system diagnosis, and basic maintenance and repair of Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Hospital vehicles.


Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities


  • Debrief drivers on departure and return from each journey.
  • Communicate effectively via telephone with customers, ensuring calls are answered promptly.
  • Prepare monthly reports on fuel and oil consumption of HMG vehicles.
  • Generate driver journey sheets from in-house systems and distribute to drivers.
  • Produce reports such as missing volume, debrief status, and unconfirmed orders.
  • Collate weekly information for transport auditing purposes.
  • Support the administration of daily in-house pick operations.
  • Supervise the activities of dispatchers and drivers.
  • Review odometer readings recorded by drivers during daily trips.
  • Maintain schedules for HMG vehicle preventive maintenance and record vehicle replacements.
  • Handle employee complaints appropriately, consulting the Transport Supervisor when necessary.
  • Receive official envelopes, documents, equipment, and materials from other hospital departments and inform the respective personnel.
  • Perform driver duties when necessary.
  • Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
  • Enhance patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
  • Perform any additional tasks within his knowledge, skills, and abilities as assigned.

Education / Professional Qualification


  • High School Certificate

Experience


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Professional Licensing / Certification / Training


  • Valid Saudi Driving License
