The Transport Planning Manager will play a key role in overseeing ridership analysis, transport demand forecasting, and timetable optimization across the metro network during its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phase. This role requires deep technical expertise in travel forecasting models and strategic planning to ensure efficient and responsive metro operations aligned with passenger needs and system capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a minimum of 10 years’ senior technical experience with extensive knowledge in developing and deploying travel forecast models on a macro scale.
  • Assist the Employer in conducting, specifying, and monitoring ridership across the KAPT (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Public Transport).
  • Assess transport demand, plan actions to adjust and predict transport capacity needs, and review the development of timetables to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Supervise the activities of each O&M Contractor in relation to ridership measurement and timetable optimization, ensuring alignment with operational goals and passenger expectations.

  • Proven expertise in transport modeling, demand forecasting, and metro service planning.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable operational plans.
  • Experience in public transport systems, preferably metro or urban rail networks.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, contractors, and government stakeholders.
