Job Description

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations including dispatch, routing, tracking, and scheduling.
• Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of drivers and support staff.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with transport regulations, health & safety, and company policies.
• Optimize routes and loads to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, and sales teams to meet delivery requirements.
• Monitor fleet performance and ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained regularly.
• Analyze transport data and prepare operational reports (KPIs, cost analysis, delivery performance, etc.).
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives in transport operations.
• Manage vendor relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, if applicable.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in transport or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience with transport management systems (TMS) and route optimization software.
