Job summary

Responsibilities

· Develops and manages training programs that assist personnel in achieving proficiency in their assigned specialties.

· Plans and schedules work assignments, workloads and maintenance procedures and developing knowledge and abilities essential to advancement to higher skill level or positions.

· Prepares directives for administration and control of training programs.

· Make periodic staff assistance visits to determine status of training programs, provide advice and guidance to improve programs.

· Develops and implements organizational and functional charts to establish lines of authority and specific responsibilities.

· Coordinates with supply, operations and other maintenance activities to improve procedures and resolve problems.

· Maintains liaison with activities responsible for conducting, scheduling or supporting training requirements.

· Maintains required training records and statistical data for reporting and analysis purposes.

· Coordinates scheduling of available training facilities according to training program requirements.

· Advice individuals on availability of training to support their specialty or duty position.

· Determinate requirements, requisitions, controls and accounts for tests and instructional materials used to evaluate training.

· Ensures the availability of the Specialty Training Standards and other training materials.

· Monitors progress of, counsel’s trainees and identifies problem area.

· Determines causes and recommend corrective actions.

· Assists in evaluations of training for effectiveness in meeting established objectives, Methods of presentations, Instructor ability.

· Use of the available resources and reporting procedures.

· Advise commanders and personnel in charge for all training programs.

Job Requirements:

· Knowledge of interviewing and counseling techniques, training techniques and

· Methods of instruction, learning processes, training evaluations,

· Automated training systems, products and training reporting procedures.

· Knowledge of training management, OJT policies and procedures, related

· Military personnel policies and procedures and applicable training technology.

· Must be familiar with RSAFM 105-8 and with CUT and ATT training requirements in RSAFM 4-7166-1 Vol 4

· Must be confident and be able to communicate effectively to all levels of staff.

· Knowledge of the functions of management

· Completion of the training specialist course is mandatory.

· Must have thorough knowledge of RASF Instructions, manuals, procedures and directives.

· Be computer literate and have a good knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

· An understanding of the SHE process.

· Military school graduate or equivalent.
