Job Description
Wood is currently looking for an Offshore TPE V/Principal Structural Engineer to work on our Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP) in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for structural/infrastructure works including various building construction types, building design, equipment foundation design, pipe and cable tray support design.
- Originate new and revise existing engineering deliverables.
- Revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
- Supervise engineering work produced by juniors.
- Conduct and receive training related to the job as required.
- Plan and complete work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
- Interface, coordinate, and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
- Delegate and distribute work, manage team billability.
- Coordinate with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of deliverables, ensuring input from other disciplines is incorporated.
- Conduct site visits to verify site conditions, markup drawings, and perform as-built activities.
- Manage deliverables submission with quality checks and proper record management.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Have full knowledge of Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, SBC, and HCIS standards.
Additional Responsibilities
Technical bid evaluation, vendor document review, and subcontract scope management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with an established contractor, operator, or consultancy.
- At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering and design.
- Previous experience in SACS.
- Experience in executing FEED and EPC projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MATHCAD, Foundation 3D, STAAD, and STADDpro).
- Familiarity with editing, opening, and reading drawings in AutoCAD/Microstation.
- Professional understanding of standards, processes, and procedures in work execution.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards at a professional level.
