JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Structural Engineer will have experience in oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining, or infrastructure industries, with engineering design project experience. Responsibilities include:

• Design and oversee structural and infrastructure works, including various building types, equipment foundations, and pipe and cable tray supports.
• Develop new engineering deliverables and revise existing ones.
• Review engineering deliverables for compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Supervise junior engineers' work.
• Participate in training related to job responsibilities.
• Plan and complete work within allocated man-hours, ensuring schedule adherence.
• Coordinate effectively with the Project Manager and team members.
• Delegate tasks, manage team billability, and oversee deliverable quality and record keeping.
• Conduct site visits, verify conditions, and perform as-built activities.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Ensure adherence to standards such as Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, SBC, and HCIS.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations, review vendor documents, and manage subcontract scopes.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate should be able to perform capacity and adequacy calculations, and design foundations, columns, slabs/beams, sections, schedules, reinforcement schedules, lift stations, road crossings, dikes, culverts, and railings, including paint and coating selections. Scope includes preparation for geotechnical and topographic surveys.

Mandatory :

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SmartPlant 3D, Navisworks/SmartPlant Review, STAAD Pro, STAAD Foundation, and Revit.

Preferred :

• Experience with dynamic foundation design, modularization, Microstation, AutoCAD, SACS, Dyna6, and Tekla.
