Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a TPE IV Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) for Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare mechanical deliverables for a project FEED in the oil and gas industry, ensuring conformity to all applicable engineering codes, standards, and the Client's policies and procedures.
  • Complete all work without compromising quality and deliver according to the project schedule.
  • Provide guidance on all mechanical engineering technical queries raised by internal or external parties.
  • Experience in preparing datasheets for static, rotating, and package equipment.
  • Experience in preparing Material Requisitions for static, rotating, and package equipment.
  • Understand and interpret Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Collaborate with other disciplines by requesting and providing input.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Interface with equipment suppliers or vendors for information requests, budget proposals, and basic technical evaluations.
  • Promote safe behavior at all times.
  • Provide sound technical advice and solutions for various technical problems within the discipline.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines during design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up phases.
  • Assist in coordinating all activities related to mechanical engineering design.
  • Identify concerns regarding progress and quality, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience with Aramco is preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of major mechanical static equipment types.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
