Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a TPE IV Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) for Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare Mechanical deliverables for an oil and gas industry project FEED, ensuring compliance with all applicable engineering codes, standards, and the Client's policies and procedures.
  2. Complete all work without compromising quality and deliver according to the project schedule.
  3. Provide guidance on all mechanical engineering technical queries raised by internal or external parties.
  4. Experience in preparing datasheets for static, rotating, and package equipment.
  5. Experience in preparing Material Requisition for static, rotating, and package equipment.
  6. Understand and interpret Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).
  7. Collaborate with other disciplines by requesting and providing input.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  9. Interface with equipment suppliers or vendors for information requests, budget proposals, and basic technical evaluations.
  10. Promote safe behavior at all times.
  11. Provide sound technical advice and solutions for various technical problems within the discipline.
  12. Coordinate with other disciplines during all design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up stages.
  13. Assist in coordinating all activities related to mechanical engineering design.
  14. Identify concerns regarding progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience with Aramco is preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of major mechanical static equipment types.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
