Job Summary:
The vocational trainer will bring content-specific expertise to instructional planning and delivery in
order to equip students with the skills necessary for success in future careers in the related field of
industry. He will deliver specified instruction in the areas of specialization.
Through this role, he will work relentlessly to increase student achievement levels by consistently
setting rigorous academic, vocational and behavioral goals for students, monitoring progress
towards these goals and adjusting course when necessary.
He will work to actively build positive and beneficial relationships between trainees and the industry.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design assessments and projects that assess skills proficiency.
- Regularly track and document students' progress, attendance, and achievements to inform instructional decisions.
- Conduct theoretical and practical vocational courses related to programs.
- Participate in the design of programs and the development of educational content.
- Produce and update the teaching materials required for the training course.
- Attend pedagogical meetings and participate in projects led by the pedagogical team.
- Provide timely feedback to students to help them understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Participate in curriculum development discussions, sharing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and active learning.
- Maintain open lines of communication with trainees, providing clarity of course expectations, assignments, and any relevant updates.
- Good knowledge of finding the right approach to every single student and situation, solving problems, or giving support with any difficulty.
- Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices in English language instruction.
- Participate in college events to engage with students, parents, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities that promote field of training.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the College, ensuring that all training practices are in compliance with college guidelines.
- Demonstrate a passion for training and stay current with evolving language teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Pursue continuous professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness and instructional innovation.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in tourism management or a related field is preferred.
- An English speaker, if English is not their first language, shall present a recognized international English proficiency test score equivalent to a score of 7.5.0 on the IELTS Academy test as part of his/her application to the job.
- HACCP certificate is a must for vocational trainers related to Food and beverage training subjects.
Experience:
- A minimum of proven 8-10 years as a teacher and/or tour operator in renowned establishment in the field related to course subject.
- Successful experience in pedagogy and passionate, imaginative, rigorous.
- Prior experience in KSA or the GCC is preferred.

Skills
- Conducts a round table discussion (collection of needs/expectations) and state the objectives at the beginning of the.
- Designs and/or uses and disseminates teaching materials that are appropriate for the trainees and up to date.
- Uses a variety of teaching methods and materials (especially those that promote interactivity).
- Checks that trainees have achieved the objectives of the service using an appropriate assessment.
- Follow up implementation of the field training programs and visits of different working sites, and prepare final assessment trainer's report in regard to practical training.
- Prepare and mark the periodical examinations based on the training course curricula, including preparation of the final curricula examinations.
- Guide and orient the trainees each in his area of discipline.
- Participate in identifying the seasonal and yearly requirements, such as equipment, labs, and books.
- Participate in installation of the Section's equipment and training labs.
- Implement safety/security procedures and precautions in the classrooms and training labs.
- Prepare weekly training curriculum plans and hand them over on time to the academic supervisor.
- Carry out assignments according to LMS, including recording of attendance of the trainees, monitor scores in training subject-matters, and any other functions assigned by the academic supervisor.
- Fully responsible for the trainees, equipment and materials during the implementation of the specialized program.
- Takes into account the corrective or improvement actions defined within the framework of the quality system and as such could be audited as part of an internal or external audit.
- Identify the problems and obstacles facing performance of the work, and report them to the direct manager.
