Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform regular maintenance on machinery and equipment used in tissue converting processes.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Installation:
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
- Ensure that installations meet safety and operational standards.
Monitoring Operations:
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Keep detailed records of machine performance and maintenance activities.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards or concerns.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement in machinery and processes.
- Collaborate with engineers on machine upgrades and modifications.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Assist in preparing reports on machinery performance and maintenance activities.
Training:
- Provide training to operators on the proper use and maintenance of machinery.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, PLC) are a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years in mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or tissue converting environments; familiarity with tissue converting machinery is highly desirable; strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and control systems; proficient in diagnostic tools; troubleshooting skills; analytical skills; good communication; team-oriented; physically capable of lifting heavy objects; adaptable to noisy or high-temperature environments; willing to work shifts including nights and weekends.
Additional Responsibilities for Plastic & Printing Technician:
- Conduct preventive maintenance on blow molding, printing, and bag-making machines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Set up and calibrate machines for production.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Monitor operations and conduct quality checks.
- Follow safety protocols and conduct inspections.
- Coordinate maintenance with production teams and collaborate on upgrades.
- Maintain maintenance records and prepare reports.
- Train operators and stay informed on industry advancements.
