Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Thermal Engineer with a strong background in the design and thermal analysis of heat exchangers and pressure vessels. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience and must be proficient in HTRI (Heat Transfer Research, Inc.) software. This role involves providing thermal design solutions in accordance with industry codes and standards, collaborating with mechanical design teams, and supporting projects through all design phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thermal and hydraulic design of heat exchangers (Shell & Tube, Air Cooled, etc.) using HTRI software.
Support the mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers as per ASME, TEMA, and other applicable codes.
Prepare and review design calculations, technical specifications, and datasheets.
Work closely with mechanical and process engineering teams to ensure optimal thermal performance.
Validate vendor designs and ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
Provide support during fabrication, inspection, and testing phases when needed.
Ensure all work complies with company quality, safety, and engineering standards.
Key Requirements:
Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the thermal design of heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
Mandatory hands-on experience with HTRI software.
Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, TEMA, API, and related design codes.
Proficiency in thermal and mechanical design tools; familiarity with PV Elite / Compress is a plus.
Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sector preferred.
Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
