This position reports to

Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities
  1. Execute in-house testing of analyzers and integrated analytical systems with HVAC and other accessories during internal testing & FAT with customers according to schedule. Work closely with Quality Engineer to prepare project test documentation for PIM for the customers. Provide technical support during installation, including setting up all testing requirements such as power and utilities for scheduled testing and FAT.
  2. Make risk assessments in your area of responsibility to ensure safe systems of work and take appropriate actions. Report contract, quality, program, or cost issues to management.
  3. Participate in customer inspections and ensure resolution of technical queries during acceptance tests.
  4. Create standard processes and tools for testing.
  5. Contribute to planning and implementation of commissioning activities. Support and coordinate installation activities with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager. Implement commissioning design changes and provide mark-ups for as-built documentation. Support continuous improvement of project processes, products, and systems. Participate in internal project review meetings and provide input on commissioning activities.
  6. Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase to ensure adherence to the commissioning plan. Identify and report potential risks related to contract, quality, program, or cost, and recommend resolutions to management. Conduct regular safety observation tours to report and mitigate potential HSE hazards.
  7. Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification. Identify and recommend effective solutions to meet business and customer needs. Provide relevant information for commissioning assignments and meetings with customers.
  8. Provide relevant information for commissioning assignments and meetings with contractors and colleagues. Offer feedback to the organization to facilitate lessons learned processes.
Qualifications for the role
  • Diploma / Engineering in Electrical or Instrumentation
  • 6-8 years of experience in testing and commissioning of analyzer systems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in computer use
  • Experience in Analytical Systems (preferred)
  • ABB make analyzers and third-party analyzer commissioning experience (preferred)
  • Experience with ABB Analytical Systems (preferred)
