Tender & Quotation Senior Specialist

Description

You as a Tender & Quotation Senior Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy's business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Your role involves creating and completing bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications or requirements/budgets to ensure market competitiveness and high margins for the company.

Your Responsibilities

1. Review tender specifications, propose economical technical solutions, and prepare complete material costing, sales prices, and technical documentation as per tender requirements.
2. Collect and archive documentation related to offers and orders, record assumptions and decisions during development, and regularly report bid statuses using defined tools. Analyze reasons for wins and losses.
3. Support the sales team with technical clarifications during bidding or order stages, and conduct technical clarification meetings with clients independently.
4. Identify potential risks in bids, quotations, estimates, and related contracts, and participate in the Risk Review process per company policy.
5. Maintain thorough technical knowledge of company product lines, especially H.V. Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).
6. Gather and organize all information needed for proposal preparation, including technical and cost elements.
7. Build and maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs, ensuring a positive experience throughout the sales process, and support sales managers during technical meetings.
8. Review and finalize EPC orders technically and commercially in coordination with sales engineers.
9. Manage set target dates and ensure timely work completion.
10. Communicate effectively to influence internal and external stakeholders.
11. Oversee the preparation of technical, financial, and project management aspects of bids, including pricing and trading conditions.
12. Perform any additional tasks assigned by management to fulfill job requirements.

Your Background

1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales & Tendering.
3. Technical knowledge of H.V. Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
5. Proactive, communicative team player.
6. Fluent in spoken and written English.
