Job description: Job Purpose

Preparing, managing, and submitting bids or tenders for construction project material selection & approval process for Civil work from start to finish, ensuring that all designs meet client requirements.

Key Accountability Areas

1. Review and Analysis: Examine tender documents, drawings, specifications, and other relevant information to determine project scope and requirements.
2. Tender Evaluation and Negotiation: Participate actively in tender evaluation meetings, presenting proposals and negotiating with clients.
3. Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all tenders comply with client specifications, industry standards, and legal requirements, maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
4. Collaboration: Collaborate with team members in creating project budgets, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients.
5. Documentation: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost control measures are in place to optimize project profitability.

Role Accountability

1. Presentation: Develop technical and commercial proposals that align with project goals and company strategy.
2. Post-Tender Activities: Participate in the post-tender review process to identify areas for improvement in future tendering activities.
3. Component Selection and Specification: Review tender documents, design solutions, cost projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client specifications and organizational goals.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, safety regulations, and certification requirements.
5. Assurance and Review: Develop detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
6. Skills: Proven experience in tendering, cost estimation, and proposal preparation, proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Revit, MS Office.
7. Tender Preparation: Review and analyze client requirements, project specifications, and tender documents.
8. Client Interaction: Attend client meetings and site visits to gain insights into project requirements.
9. Technical Coordination: Liaise with internal teams (design, procurement, and project management) to gather accurate data for proposals.
10. Maintaining Documentation: Organize and maintain a library of electrical drawings, documents, and related project files.
11. Adhering to Safety Standards: Ensure electrical drawings comply with relevant safety regulations and building codes.

Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in Civil Engineering with knowledge of construction processes and standards.

Academic Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
