Overview

We are seeking a Technology Consultant to join the Global Manufacturing Excellence Digitalization and Technology Division (GME-DTD).

GME is the recognized Center of Excellence driving value across Saudi Aramco’s downstream global manufacturing portfolio. D&TD is responsible for leading the technology function, collaborating across various downstream functions and at a corporate level.

Role Summary

Your primary role is to support the development and deployment of technology management programs aimed at providing technical support across Saudi Aramco’s global manufacturing portfolio. You will ideate, introduce, deploy, and sustain innovative technological solutions within domains including reliability, maintenance, sustainability, energy, and process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of technologies across the downstream portfolio including petrochemical facilities, refineries, terminals, bulk plants, and gas plants.
  • Develop comprehensive, value-adding technology roadmaps aligned with business challenges such as energy optimization, sustainability, plant availability, debottlenecking, and process optimization.
  • Accelerate technology deployment by working closely with internal and external agencies and vendors.
  • Conduct feasibility studies including technical and economic evaluations of solutions, platforms, and new technologies.
  • Scout for innovative and value-adding technologies to enable technological advancement.
  • Develop business cases and perform cost/benefit analyses for technology deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other consultants to deliver solutions that meet technical and business needs.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and benefits of technology initiatives to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Work with technology providers to develop training programs supporting technology adoption by end-users.
  • Recognize and implement necessary changes to standards and governance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting technology implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and standards, and evaluate solution implementations.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to operational teams in technology design, development, and execution.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical); Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15 years of experience as a Technology Consultant in technology ideation, scouting, and deployment.
  • Good understanding of downstream technologies, including refinery processes.
  • Experience in developing business cases and benefit/cost analyses for downstream technologies.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and project lifecycles.
  • Strong understanding of change management, engineering, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in leading complex technology projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
