Job summary

A leading company in the industrial sector is looking for a Technician specialized in Electrical and Instrumentation in Jizan. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment in the ilmenite smelter plant, ensuring safe operations, and carrying out repairs and inspections. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation technology and over 6 years of experience in heavy industries, along with a strong skill set in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience or more in heavy industries.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Full knowledge of maintenance of electrical equipment and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the smooth operation of the smelter plant's equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective repairs on assigned equipment.
• Support operating unit during shutdown and start-up activities.

Job Description

Advanced smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee.

An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Technician, E&I Based in Jizan.

About the role:

Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of the ilmenite smelter plant's equipment daily including electrical safety and ensuring safe working practices are adopted and maintained. Directly oversee the upkeep of substations, generators, pumps, and plant instrumentation.

You will be responsible for:

• Perform routine/ basic inspection and maintenance of equipment in line with defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and instructions from superiors to support integrity and reliability.
• Perform Preventive and corrective repairs on assigned equipment – in various disciplines.
• Provide prompt response to equipment service requests within the guidelines and standards of maintenance to ensure timely and effective up time.
• perform electrical equipment inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• perform Instrumentation inspections, calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Report any deficiencies on simple equipment through proper communication channels and reporting.
• Support the operating unit during minor and major turn-around shutdown and start-up activities to support timely completion of tasks.

Diploma of Electrical/Instrumentation Technology.

6 years of experience or more in heavy industries.

Required Skills:

• Repairing a variety of Electrical equipment
• Knowledge of repairing different Instruments and calibration of instruments
• Knowledge of HV/MV/LV panel repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of analyser calibration
• Good knowledge of load cells, scale and all measuring devices
• Ability to Identify faults or hazards and
• Solid understanding of equipment troubleshooting system failures and rectification.
• Full Knowledge of maintenance of electrical equipment and Instruments
• Work independently and is reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Safety Awareness and responsible work attitude
• Analytical approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work at heights and cramped spaces
• Knowledge of automation and PLC systems is an added advantage.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and P&ID
• Knowledge of field instruments.
• Full Knowledge of HV, MV LV substation panel maintenance and operation
• Excellent in reading electrical drawing and single line diagrams.
• Good experience on maintenance of MCC components, VSDs , cabling , lighting .
• Good experience on repair and maintenance of different types of instrumentation (flow, pressure, TC).
• Good experience on control valves types, pneumatic networks components troubleshooting
• Good experience on analyzers calibration and troubleshooting, CO , O2.
