An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Technician, Furnace Mechanical based in Jizan.

About the role:

To perform and determine maintenance activities on company assets. The role holder works under supervision and is authorized to conduct initial reviews and sign off on completed tasks using the related IT system. Assist the technicians at Stage A to facilitate completion of tasks as defined by quality and HSE standards.

You will be responsible for:

  • Create and maintain a safe working environment to achieve excellence.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of work.
  • Escalate issues to supervisors when work appears invalid or costly.
  • Review work to be performed and determine the best approach, consulting with supervisors, planners, and stores as necessary.
  • Monitor and commission plants and systems.
  • Improve job estimates, planning, and scheduling based on feedback from relevant departments.
  • Manage backlog of work orders requiring major or facility shutdowns.
  • Perform troubleshooting and overhaul of pumps, gearboxes, fans, conveyor belts, valves, and heat exchangers.
  • Provide accurate job estimates based on skills, sequence, and resources required.
  • Collaborate with production, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to resolve complex problems.
  • Maintain conveyor belts, including tracking for misalignment.
  • Remove and install bearings, shafts, and seals.
  • Verify availability of materials, tools, and labor before work begins.
  • Follow instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Perform assembly, dismantling, and lubrication of bearings.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimal asset operation.
  • Maintain inventory of essential spare parts and consumables.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and perform complex repairs.
  • Follow supervisor’s guidance on duties and priorities, including spare parts procurement.
  • Respond promptly to on-call maintenance requests.
  • Report equipment deficiencies through proper channels.
  • Use measurement tools and equipment accurately.
  • Contribute to training departmental trainees for future technical competence.
  • Handle lubrication systems, including oil and filter changes.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
