Responsibilities
- Perform pre‑preparation tasks for mould changing and set up mould for all process equipment as per product specifications, ensuring the process setting is done with minimum job setup.
- Load the mould efficiently as per SOP and set the machine and process according to product specifications.
- Contribute to achieving production targets through effective process control.
- Observe active machines to identify abnormalities in operation and take corrective action if required.
- Carry out cleaning/maintenance of change parts and mould accessories after production, and ensure proper storage with identification.
- Ensure cleaning of material handling equipment is carried out at regular intervals.
- Check mould moving parts, lubricate them, and maintain a daily record.
- Perform minor maintenance as required and assist in general maintenance if needed.
- Perform in-process quality checks that require accurate machine and process settings to obtain production efficiency.
- Verify product specification accuracy and obtain Quality and Production Supervisors’ approval on production data sheet during mould and job changes.
- Maintain mould history cards and report to the Supervisor and/or Production Executive if any work needs to be carried out.
- Observe safety precautions, especially during mould changes, identify potential hazards, and take measures to avoid incidents.
- Follow company HSE guidelines in respect of all operations.
- Observe SOPs on the shop floor and provide on‑the‑job training to ensure compliance to policies and procedures.
- Train, mentor and provide direction to machine operators on equipment, processes and procedures.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor to accomplish department objectives.
Requirements
Education/Qualifications: CIPET with background knowledge of Plastics processing. Special trainings preferably in Plastic production.
Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of technical experience in manufacturing industry preferably industrial product, plastic and/or packaging. At least 5–6 years of hands-on experience in plastic manufacturing industry if CIPET/ITI qualification is not held.
Functional Skills & Knowledge
Hands on experience on ISBM and IM technology. Knowledge of production process, mould changing/setting, and familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical and hydraulic equipment is preferred. Knowledge of related machines and their operation is preferred.
