Advanced Smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), equally owned by Tasnee, is located in Jizan Economic City. The plant smelts ilmenite (Titanium-rich mineral sand) to produce Titanium Dioxide slag and pig iron. It features two Electric Arc furnaces with capacities of 250kt slag and 125kt pig iron. The slag is processed for use in titanium chlorination and sulphuric acid processes to produce Titanium pigment, mainly used in paints and plastics.

An exciting opportunity is available at Slagger Company for a Technician, Fireman based in Jizan.

About the role:

This position exists to support fire prevention and response efforts within the organization, ensuring safety and compliance with safety standards.

You will be responsible for:
  • Reporting to the fire prevention specialist and assisting in the operational and administrative functions of the fire and rescue service at the station and plant.
  • Preventing, combating, and extinguishing fires to protect lives, the environment, and property.
  • Operating firefighting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Providing basic medical care in emergency situations within your scope of knowledge.
  • Analyzing hazardous situations and implementing quick solutions.
  • Participating in training sessions and drills.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in department facilities.
  • Keeping inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Reporting mechanical failures, missing, or damaged equipment.
  • Updating and maintaining records related to duties.
  • Attending required training courses.
  • Working flexible shifts as per roster.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma degree preferred in fire safety or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with base radio equipment.
  • Knowledge of fire communication systems and equipment.
  • Emergency medical procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English.
