Job description

Advanced Smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), equally owned by Tasnee, is located in Jizan Economic City. The plant smelts ilmenite to produce Titania Dioxide slag and pig iron, utilizing two Electric Arc furnaces with capacities of 250kt slag and 125kt pig iron. The slag serves as feedstock for titanium pigment production, mainly used in paints and plastics.

An exciting opportunity is available at Slagger Company for a Technician, Fireman based in Jizan.

About the role:

This position exists to support fire prevention and response efforts within the plant, ensuring safety and emergency response readiness.

You will be responsible for:
  • Reporting to the fire prevention specialist and assisting with operational and administrative fire and rescue activities.
  • Preventing, combating, and extinguishing fires to protect lives, environment, and property.
  • Operating firefighting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Providing emergency medical care within your scope of knowledge.
  • Analyzing hazardous situations and implementing quick solutions.
  • Participating in training sessions and drills.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of department facilities.
  • Keeping inventory of tools and equipment, reporting mechanical failures or damages.
  • Updating and maintaining all relevant records.
  • Attending required training courses.
  • Working flexible shifts as per the plant roster.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Fire Safety or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with radio communication and fire safety systems.
  • Knowledge of emergency medical procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
