Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety checks. Collaborate with team members to optimize system performance and maintain high-quality output.
Key Functional Responsibilities
- Assist in emergency response activities during equipment failures or power outages, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to service, and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
- Identify and address potential issues to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with production machines and related systems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new related strategies.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, welding, and troubleshooting repairs of production machines.
- Comply with automobile and industry safety regulations, guidelines, and protocols; maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform safety checks and implement safety measures to ensure all components adhere to safety, quality standards, and specifications to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Monitor production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality output.
- Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on production equipment, including robots, conveyors, and paint technologies.
- Perform predictive maintenance by identifying and remediating potential issues before they cause breakdowns or disruptions.
- Escalate non-compliance issues to the Team Leader/Group Leader.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts and repair or replace defective components.
- Adjust system settings, controls, and parameters as needed to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and schedules.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate schedules, prioritize work orders, and optimize system performance.
Skills
- Education: Technical High School diploma or degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related industrial fields.
Experience
Minimum of 6 years in automotive industrial maintenance, specifically in Paint Shop environments.
