The Role

As a Technician, your role is to support the needs of the business, our guests, and colleagues by ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and other systems, as well as responding promptly to guest requests and emergency situations.

As a member of the Engineering department, you will ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are carried out to the highest professional standards, with guest comfort and safety as the top priority.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Technician, you will need to:

  • Ensure guest safety and promptly resolve any maintenance-related issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance as per the hotels maintenance schedule.
  • Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and other hotel systems.
  • Operate and maintain hotel-supplied tools and equipment professionally, ensuring they are stored properly after use.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized upon task completion.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Shift Engineer and Engineering team.
  • Participate in the hotel&aposs energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
  • Promote the use of environmentally friendly practices and materials.
  • Identify and suggest cost-saving opportunities across various departments.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Qualifications and Standards

The ideal candidate must have 2-3 years of experience in a Technician role within a luxury hotel or similar high-end environment. A strong background in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair is essential. Candidates should have hands-on expertise in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems, ensuring smooth facility operations. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of safety regulations are required. Experience working in fast-paced environments and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams is highly valued.
