A leading talent acquisition company is on the lookout for a Technical Writer specializing in the Oil & Gas sector. This role is pivotal in developing, writing, and distributing high-quality technical documents that effectively communicate essential information to various stakeholders in the industry.
As a Technical Writer, you will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to create documentation that meets the technical and regulatory needs of the Oil & Gas sector. This role is critical in supporting the submission of peer-reviewed technical articles that contribute to industry innovation and leadership.
Responsibilities:
Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including project reports, standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materials specific to the Oil & Gas industry.
Work collaboratively with project teams to gather, analyze, and organize complex information for documentation.
Technical writing and editing: Assist SMEs in editing and formatting technical papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences.
Research and documentation: Collaborate with SMEs to structure complex data, technical findings, and industry best practices in well-organized papers.
Journal submission process: Facilitate the journal submission process, including formatting compliance, reference management, and responding to peer-review feedback.
Ensure consistency and standards: Maintain high editorial and technical writing standards, following industry-specific guidelines and referencing styles.
Desired Candidate Profile:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical writing within the Oil & Gas industry.
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in industry-specific terminology and the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into understandable documentation.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and specialized documentation software.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
