Job description

Job Summary:

As a Technical Training Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs to both internal staff and external clients. Your role will involve creating instructional materials, conducting training sessions, and assessing the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they meet the learning objectives and needs of the audience. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Program Development:
  • Design and develop technical training programs and materials, including but not limited to, Training Curriculum, Training Objectives, Presentations, Training Guides, Training manuals, and Training aids.
  • Customize training programs to meet the specific requirements of different clients both internal and external.
  1. Training Delivery:
  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions either in-person or through virtual platforms.
  • Facilitate hands-on workshops and demonstrations to enhance training objectives.
  1. Content Review and Updates:
  • Review and update training materials to reflect product updates, new features, and changes in technology.
  • Ensure training content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.
  1. Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, quizzes, and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze training metrics to measure the impact on learning and business outcomes.
  1. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with SMEs, Line managers, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and insights.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between training initiatives and business objectives.
  1. Continuous Learning and Development:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in training and instructional design.
  • Continuously improve training methodologies and approaches based on feedback and evaluation results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering specializing in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy or its equivalent
  • Minimum 5 Years Industrial Experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Vocational Training Experience specialized in Electrical, Electrical Power, Electronic, Electromechanical, Mechatronics and/or Renewable Energy.
  • Train the Trainers (e.g., TOT) and Professional Certifications are preferred.
  • City & Guilds Assessor and Verifier Awards (E.g. CAVA, TAQA, A1, A2 and V1) are preferred.
  • Strong background in technical concepts and the ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand training materials.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate audiences.
  • Proficiency in training delivery methods, such as classroom training, virtual training platforms, and e-learning tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically works in an office environment but may also travel to client sites for training sessions.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate different time zones or training schedules.
